Chuck Sawyer

Managing Member

Chuck graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Geology. He received his Masters degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma. In 1980, Chuck started in the energy business with Amoco where he worked as an exploration and exploitation geologist. Following Amoco, Chuck spent several years with Coughlin & Co. in Denver as an Investment Banker where he structured and sold municipal bonds. Chuck returned to the energy business by joining the marketing department at Vessels Oil & Gas Co. where he managed gas on interstate pipelines and sold gas to local end users along the Front Range of Colorado.

 Chuck joined the business development group at Western Gas Resources in 1990. While at Western, Chuck managed gas supply contracts with producers and was involved in many of the acquisitions of Western’s gathering and processing facilities. Chuck became the Exploration Business Leader of Western’s newly created Exploration Department where he generated exploration and acquisition projects.

 In 2006, Chuck formed ProtoSearch Inc. and secured consulting arrangements with numerous companies. Chuck provided consulting services on acquisition of producing properties and gathering and processing facilities, development of gas storage projects, market development of new companies and negotiating numerous forms of oil & gas agreements.

 Chuck joined Peregrine Midstream Partners LLC in October 2009 as Vice President of Project Development, where he focused on the reservoir development and regulatory matters of the Ryckman Creek Gas Storage Project in southwest Wyoming.

 In 2016, Chuck formed of Rocky Mountain Royalty Advisors LLC where he is Managing Director.
